Schedule Information
- Day shift
- 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- 13-week assignment
Physical Therapist Requirements
- Active Kentucky Physical Therapist license
- Minimum of one year of recent physical therapy experience
- Rehabilitation or inpatient therapy experience preferred
- Strong patient-evaluation and treatment-planning skills
- Experience providing therapeutic exercise, gait training, mobility training, and transfer training
- Ability to assess strength, balance, range of motion, mobility, and functional limitations
- Strong clinical-documentation and patient-education skills
- Effective communication and interdisciplinary teamwork abilities
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to rehabilitation care
- Ability to use standard physical therapy and mobility equipment safely
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ mobility, strength, balance, range of motion, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, mobility training, and transfer training.
- Provide strengthening, balance, range-of-motion, and other appropriate interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Support patients in reaching their functional and rehabilitation goals.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, exercises, mobility, and safety.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate patient progress and concerns to the appropriate clinical staff.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
- Follow all patient-safety, infection-control, and facility procedures.
- Perform additional physical therapy duties as assigned.
