Schedule: Full-time
Pay Rate: Based on experience

Sales Operations Engineer Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combined experience with an emphasis on technical selling
- Technical knowledge of packaging equipment or a related industry
- Blueprint reading skills required
- Strong customer service, leadership, and sales support skills
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, and PowerPoint
- Experience using CRM tools such as Microsoft Dynamics
- Understanding of commercial terms and the ability to negotiate and resolve commercial issues
- Ability to present technical equipment solutions with confidence
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to build credibility with customers and advise them on equipment solutions
- Demonstrated ability to meet aggressive sales goals and strategies
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
About the Sales Operations Engineer Role
As a Sales Operations Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide technical expertise and support to Area Sales Managers and customers for new equipment
- Identify project risks
- Configure equipment quotes based on RFQ checklists
- Assist Area Sales Managers with machine capabilities and budget pricing
- Meet with Engineering to determine concepts and cost estimates for custom equipment
- Prepare cost and pricing worksheets
- Coordinate engineering review of customer specifications
- Prepare and submit firm proposal approval forms
- Prepare budget and firm proposals
- Maintain assigned opportunities within the CRM system
- Update cost worksheet and proposal templates for assigned machine lines
- Prepare Order Cards upon receipt of customer purchase orders
- Conduct Order Card meetings and transition projects to Project Management
- Prepare Order Acknowledgement Letters
- Reduce proposal turnaround time from RFQ to proposal
- Reduce time from customer purchase order to Project Management handoff
- Travel to customer locations to support sales efforts
- Perform other duties as assigned
