Production Supervisor
Louisville, KY
Pay: $48,000/year
Position Type: Full-Time | 1st Shift
Schedule Information
- Monday – Friday
- 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Extended hours and occasional weekends may be required
Production Supervisor Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Quality assurance experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of manufacturing equipment preferred
- Understanding of Quality Systems, including ISO 9001, preferred
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles is a plus
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Ability to use measurement tools such as tape measures, digital calipers, and similar equipment
- Strong math skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and supervise up to 30 production employees while promoting a positive team environment
- Schedule daily production activities to meet quality, efficiency, and delivery goals
- Coordinate production schedules and workflow with other departments
- Monitor production performance and adjust staffing levels based on workload demands
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, quality standards, and production requirements
- Evaluate production processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Complete production reports and communicate operational updates with management
