Translator Requirements
- Fluent in English and either Spanish or French, including reading, writing, and speaking
- Six months of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
- Familiarity with quality-assurance processes
- Basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain detailed work instructions
- Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate with supervisors and employees across multiple departments
- Professional demeanor with strong cultural awareness and sensitivity
Key Responsibilities
- Translate spoken and written information between English and Spanish or English and French while preserving accuracy, context, and meaning.
- Assist supervisors with communicating job duties, work instructions, safety procedures, and production expectations.
- Provide on-the-floor translation during meetings, training sessions, orientations, and team huddles.
- Translate work instructions, training guides, safety signage, job aids, and company communications.
- Support onboarding and orientation for bilingual associates.
- Help employees understand quality, safety, and production requirements.
- Relay employee feedback, questions, and concerns to management accurately and professionally.
- Support communication between temporary and permanent employees.
- Recommend improvements to workplace communication, training, workflow, and safety processes.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
