Quality Control Technician Job Details
Schedule: Full-time schedule, 2nd Shift
Pay Rate: $20.00–$23.00/hr
Location: Erlanger, KY

Quality Control Technician Requirements/Qualifications
  • Resume and interview required.
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of quality control or quality assurance experience required; food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to accurately document quality data and maintain records.
  • Experience working with GMPs, food safety, and quality standards preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain electronic quality records.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with multiple departments.

About the Quality Control Technician Role
As a Quality Control Technician, your responsibilities will include:
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and product specifications.
  • Perform quality testing and record analysis results accurately.
  • Communicate product quality concerns with production, quality, shipping, and customer service teams.
  • Maintain quality documentation and production records.
  • Monitor production equipment for proper operation, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Conduct metal detector, magnet, scale, GMP, and critical control point (CCP) checks.
  • Investigate product non-conformances and foreign material concerns.
  • Perform batch setup verification and document discrepancies.
  • Place products on quality hold and release products when appropriate.
  • Complete product rejection reports, including root cause and corrective actions.
  • Verify allergen cleanouts, pre-operational inspections, equipment calibrations, and micro sample collection.
  • Maintain retained samples and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
