Certified Nursing Assistant / Patient Care Technician (CNA/PCT)
Somerset, KY
Pay: $22.00/hour
Position Type: Travel Assignment | 13 Weeks
Schedule Information
- Day Shift
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
CNA/PCT Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required (or Patient Care Technician certification if applicable)
- Minimum of 1–2 years of recent CNA or patient care experience required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Experience providing direct patient care in a hospital, rehabilitation, or acute care setting preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills
- Ability to accurately obtain and document vital signs and patient information
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism and compassionate care
- Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and quality care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and personal hygiene
- Safely assist with patient mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Obtain, document, and report vital signs and other patient observations
- Answer call lights promptly and respond to patient needs with compassion and professionalism
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and immediately communicate concerns to nursing staff
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards while supporting a positive patient experience
