Schedule Information

- 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Travel is required
- Must be flexible to work varying schedules based on project needs
Foreman – Field Lead Requirements
- At least three years of construction or industrial field experience
- Previous supervisory experience in mechanical, piping, millwright, fabrication, or related work
- OSHA 10 certification required
- Strong ability to read mechanical, process, structural, and shop drawings
- Working knowledge of sanitary tubing and piping practices
- Experience with process-equipment installation and common fabrication or erection methods
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Positive, safety-first attitude with a strong sense of urgency
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass required drug screening and background checks
- Ability to work at heights and in varied environments
- Ability to lift moderate loads
- Willingness and ability to travel
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30 certification
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Familiarity with ANSI D18.1 sanitary-tubing welding standards
- Experience working with certified sanitary-system welders
- Previous experience on food and beverage, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology project sites
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate a self-performing industrial field crew.
- Assign daily tasks, sequence work, and maintain crew productivity.
- Safely execute piping, equipment-installation, millwright, and fabrication work.
- Organize material staging, tools, lifts, equipment, and jobsite housekeeping.
- Read and interpret mechanical, process, structural, and shop drawings.
- Translate drawings and work orders into clear field-installation tasks.
- Install and align process equipment, sanitary tubing, utility piping, structural components, and custom-fabricated items.
- Perform quality inspections and direct corrective actions.
- Enforce site-safety rules and ensure proper PPE compliance.
- Conduct toolbox talks as directed.
- Report jobsite hazards, near misses, and incidents.
- Coordinate directly with on-site subcontractors.
- Escalate scheduling, material, and production issues to the Site Superintendent.
- Record daily production, labor, and basic material usage.
- Assist with punch lists and project-turnover activities.
- Mentor apprentices and less-experienced crew members.
- Promote an employee-first culture, teamwork, and a strong sense of urgency.
About the Foreman – Field Lead Role
Crown Staffing is hiring a Foreman – Field Lead for a full-time opportunity based in Winchester, KY. Reporting to the Site Superintendent, this hands-on leadership position supervises a small to midsize crew performing industrial piping, equipment installation, millwright, and fabrication work.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of industrial or construction field experience with supervisory responsibilities. Candidates should be confident reading technical drawings, coordinating field installations, maintaining safety and quality standards, and keeping crews productive and on schedule.
Success in this role will be measured through crew productivity, work quality, on-time completion, jobsite safety, near-miss reporting, and the accuracy of daily field reports.
