Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Somerset, KY
Pay: $37.00/hour
Travel Assignment | 13 Weeks
Schedule Information
- Night Shift
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
Registered Nurse Requirements
- Current RN license required
- Minimum of 1–2 years of recent ICU or comparable critical care nursing experience required
- Strong patient assessment, medication administration, infusion therapy, and clinical documentation skills
- Experience with patient monitoring systems, IV pumps, ventilators, critical care equipment, medication administration systems, and EHR platforms
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced critical care environment while maintaining professionalism and quality patient care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor changes in condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and critical care infusions as prescribed
- Respond quickly to changes in patient status and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including cardiac monitors and infusion devices
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record
- Support patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards throughout the shift
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care while supporting patients and their families
