Registered Nurse – Med/Surg
Winchester, KY
Pay: $35.00/hour
Travel Assignment | 13 Weeks
Schedule Information
- Night Shift
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Registered Nurse Requirements
- Current RN license or compact state privilege required
- Recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience required
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred or required based on facility requirements
- Strong patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical documentation skills
- Experience with IV and smart infusion pumps, medication administration systems, patient monitoring equipment, oxygen delivery devices, mobility equipment, and EHR platforms
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment while maintaining professionalism and compassionate patient care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Perform patient assessments, monitor changes in condition, and communicate updates to physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Administer medications, IV therapies, treatments, and other prescribed interventions
- Coordinate patient care while educating patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Operate patient monitoring equipment, infusion pumps, and other clinical equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards throughout the shift
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care while supporting positive patient outcomes
