Job Summary
Crown Staffing is seeking compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support a busy healthcare facility in Lexington, KY. This position provides direct care to pediatric patients ranging from birth to 21 years old using a multidisciplinary and holistic approach under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide patient care according to individual treatment plans while considering the child’s educational, psychosocial, behavioral, physical, mental, and emotional needs. The LPN will also educate patients and families as needed while supporting daily clinical operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Full-time opportunities may include:
- 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts
- 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric and young adult patients under the supervision of an RN or physician.
- Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations as directed.
- Monitor patient conditions and accurately document observations and care provided.
- Assist with patient assessments, intake procedures, and clinical support tasks.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care.
- Follow all safety, infection control, and healthcare compliance standards.
- Support daily clinic operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide care using a holistic approach tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current LPN licensure required.
- Must be licensed in the state of Kentucky or possess a qualifying Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Minimum of two (2) years of current experience as a practicing LPN preferred.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and patient volumes.
- Comfortable working with patients from birth to 21 years old.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.
Schedule Information
- Typical operating hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Saturday hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Shift schedules may vary based on operational needs and patient census.
- Possible shifts may include:
- 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
- 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
