Registered Nurse – Neuro Critical Care / CCU
Somerset, KY
Pay: $37.00/hour
Travel Assignment | 13 Weeks
Schedule Information
- Night Shift
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Registered Nurse Requirements
- Current RN license or compact state privilege required
- Minimum of 1–2 years of recent ICU, CCU, Neuro Critical Care, or comparable high-acuity nursing experience required
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred or required based on facility requirements
- Strong neurological assessment, critical care, medication administration, and clinical documentation skills
- Experience with cardiac monitoring systems, IV and smart infusion pumps, ventilators, emergency equipment, medication administration systems, and EHR platforms
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced critical care environment while maintaining professionalism and compassionate patient care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neurological and critical care patients
- Perform detailed neurological and physical assessments while continuously monitoring patient status
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and critical care infusions as prescribed
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and ventilatory support equipment
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards throughout the shift
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care while supporting patients and their families
