Radiation Therapist Requirements
- Approximately 1–3 years of recent radiation therapy experience
- Ability to administer radiation treatments according to physician orders and established treatment plans
- Strong knowledge of radiation therapy procedures and treatment protocols
- Ability to accurately position patients and verify treatment parameters
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Knowledge of radiation-safety requirements and procedures
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to accurately document patient care and treatment information

Key Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed radiation treatments according to physician orders and established treatment plans
- Accurately position and immobilize patients for treatment
- Operate radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively
- Verify treatment parameters before and during procedures
- Monitor patients throughout treatments and respond appropriately to concerns
- Maintain accurate treatment records and clinical documentation
- Follow all radiation-safety protocols and facility procedures
- Communicate patient concerns and treatment-related information to the oncology team
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients
- Perform additional radiation therapy duties as assigned
