Job Description
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Somerset, KY
Pay: $25.97–$35.39/hour
Pay: $25.97–$35.39/hour
Schedule Information
LPNs work seven 12-hour shifts every 14 days on a set rotating schedule:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday
- Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Day Shift: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
- Night Shift: 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
LPN Requirements
- Active LPN license valid in Kentucky
- Strong patient-assessment and medication-administration skills
- Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional approach to resident care
- Ability to follow healthcare regulations, safety standards, and facility policies
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care under the supervision of an RN or physician.
- Monitor resident health, vital signs, comfort, and changes in condition.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate resident updates to RNs, physicians, and other care-team members.
- Perform wound care and other basic nursing procedures.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and personal care.
- Collect specimens and assist with diagnostic testing as needed.
- Educate residents and families about care plans and health-related topics.
- Report concerns or changes in resident condition promptly.
- Support a positive resident experience through compassionate and professional care.
