Crown Staffing is urgently hiring for a Chemical Operator – Shift Lead.
Chemical Operator – Shift Lead Job Details
Schedule: Sunday–Saturday, 4:00 AM–4:00 PM.
Location: Clayton, OH

Chemical Operator – Shift Lead Requirements/Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of direct Chemical Operator experience preferred for the Shift Lead role.
- Proven stable and dedicated work history.
- Strong computer and math skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work safely around hazardous chemicals and fumes/odors.
About the Chemical Operator – Shift Lead Role
As a Chemical Operator – Shift Lead, your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee daily operations of the team during the assigned shift.
- Monitor shift performance and document area status for shift handover.
- Ensure production tasks are completed efficiently according to the production schedule.
- Coach and provide feedback to team members as needed.
- Assist with training new team members.
- Communicate with other departments and management to meet production goals.
- Monitor chemical reactions and laboratory test results to determine process adjustments.
- Patrol production areas and inspect equipment for hazards, leaks, wear, and maintenance concerns.
- Record instrument readings, process conditions, and operating data accurately.
- Operate and monitor equipment used to process chemical substances into finished products.
- Regulate temperatures, pressures, and chemical flow according to established procedures.
- Maintain and operate packaging equipment to meet quality, volume, and labeling standards.
- Conduct required inspections of safety equipment, process equipment, and forklifts.
- Maintain production areas according to housekeeping and sanitation standards.
- Collect, label, and store hazardous waste according to established procedures.
