We are hiring a Lawn Care Route Technician to provide professional lawn care services throughout the Wentzville area. This is an outdoor, hands-on position involving lawn treatments, route work, customer communication, and use of mobile applications to document completed services.
Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday
- Additional Fridays and Saturdays may be required when weather causes a scheduled workday to be missed
- Daily start time is approximately 6:30 AM
- Daily schedules may vary based on weather, seasonality, and service demand
- Work begins and ends at the Wentzville office
- 30-minute unpaid lunch after 6 hours
Pay:
- $20/hour starting pay
- Opportunities for additional earnings may be available based on experience and proven skills
- On-site sales opportunities may be eligible for commission
Responsibilities:
- Complete assigned lawn care routes efficiently and accurately
- Apply fertilizer, weed and scrub pesticides, starter fertilizer, liquid aeration, and related lawn care products
- Follow product labels and safety procedures when applying and mixing chemicals
- Walk lawns and inspect for weeds, pests, disease, and other issues
- Load and unload trucks and equipment
- Pull and manage hoses during lawn treatments
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Take photos and document completed work and customer interactions using mobile apps
- Complete service notes and other required documentation
- Use mobile applications to clock in/out and receive daily job assignments
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and equipment
- Report service issues, customer concerns, or equipment needs to management
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to perform physical labor throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Basic math skills, including measuring and converting quantities when working with lawn care products
- Ability to follow written instructions and safety procedures
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the day
- Comfortable using a smartphone/mobile app for work assignments and documentation
Required Work Attire:
- Navy or dark-colored pants
- Waterproof shoes or muck boots
- Clean, presentable clothing appropriate for outdoor work
Physical & Work Environment:
This position is primarily outdoors and may involve exposure to heat, cold, rain, dust, noise, pesticides, herbicides, oils, and other outdoor conditions.

The job requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, pulling hoses, and walking on sloped or uneven ground. Applicants should be comfortable performing physical work for extended periods.
Important: This position involves lawn treatments and chemical applications but does not require mowing or hardscaping.
