Job Description

Seasonal Helper
Pay: $20/hr starting, up to $24/hr based on skills/certifications
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM (4×10-hour days)
Season: September–Mid December
Start Date: Within the next week
Overtime: 1.5× after 40 hours

Job Description:
We are looking for dependable Seasonal Helpers to assist Route Drivers with lawn treatment services throughout the upcoming season. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and staying active.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Route Driver with assigned lawn service routes
  • Load and unload trucks and equipment
  • Walk lawns and pull hoses
  • Assist with applying fertilizer, pesticides, starter fertilizer, liquid aeration, and other lawn treatments
  • Help keep equipment, trucks, and work areas clean and organized
  • Interact professionally with customers when needed
  • Use mobile apps for timekeeping, photos, and job documentation
  • Follow company safety procedures and training guidelines

Requirements:
  • Previous experience is not required; training will be provided
  • Valid driver's license is not required
  • Reliable transportation is encouraged
  • Dependable attendance and a willingness to learn
  • Comfortable performing physical work outdoors
  • Able to work as part of a small team
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic math skills preferred
  • Cell phone with a data plan encouraged

Schedule & Attendance:
  • Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • Fridays may be required for rain-day make-up
  • Saturdays may be required as needed
  • 30-minute unpaid lunch automatically deducted after 6 hours
  • PTO requests must be submitted through the company app
  • Call-offs must be communicated within 1 hour of the scheduled start time
  • Weather delays and schedule changes will be communicated through GroupMe

Important:
This position does not involve mowing or hardscaping.
Training & PPE:
  • On-site training provided
  • Company handbook and training acknowledgment required
  • Company provides shirts, safety glasses, gloves, and other necessary PPE
  • Navy or dark-colored pants required
  • Waterproof/muck boots required for liquid sprayer assignments
