Job Description
The associate will work at a construction site supporting a steel erection project. The primary responsibility will be tracking steel materials moving in and out of the construction site.
Essential Duties
- Scan steel as it enters and leaves the construction site.
- Use a handheld scanner and/or iPad to record steel movement.
- Maintain accurate records of materials coming into and leaving the site.
- Follow instructions from the site superintendent.
- Complete basic tracking and documentation.
- Follow all construction-site safety rules and procedures.
This is a simple, straightforward position. The associate will not operate motorized equipment.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE A VALID OSHA 10-HOUR CONSTRUCTION SAFETY CERTIFICATION. This is a mandatory requirement for the position.
- Must be able to pass a 7-year background check.
- Must pass a clean drug screen prior to starting.
- On-site drug testing will also be required.
- Must be comfortable using a handheld scanner and/or iPad.
- Must be reliable and able to work the scheduled Monday–Saturday hours.
- Must follow all site safety requirements.
- Résumé required for review.
Orientation
First Day: Orientation only.
The associate will complete required site orientation and onboarding before beginning regular job duties.
Reporting Structure
- Start ASAP.
- No operation of motorized equipment.
- Work is primarily scanning, tracking, and documenting steel materials.
- Construction-site environment.
- OSHA 10 certification is required prior to starting.
