Utility Associate Job Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–Finish

Pay Rate: $16.00/hr

Location: Walton, KY

Utility Associate Requirements/Qualifications

Entry-level candidates welcome; high school diploma or GED not required.
Previous warehouse, production, sanitation, or food processing experience preferred.
Ability to work in a wet, refrigerated, or freezer environment.
Ability to work in extremely cold temperatures throughout the shift.
Ability to consistently lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
Steel-toe safety footwear required.
Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment, including vacuums and other sanitation tools.
Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles when qualified and authorized.
Ability to recognize and respond to warehouse warning signals, alarms, and equipment movement.
Understanding of workplace sanitation and food safety procedures preferred.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to solve routine problems by following established procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to assist in various production and warehouse departments.
Ability to adapt to changing work assignments and operational needs.
Flexibility to work an alternate 9:00 AM–6:00 PM schedule when needed.
Ability to work mandatory overtime when required.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Excellent attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic required.

About the Utility Associate Role

As a Utility Associate, your responsibilities will include:

Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and production areas.
Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors throughout the facility.
Clean hallways, stairways, offices, and other designated work areas.
Empty trash and garbage containers and dispose of waste properly.
Remove packaging materials, cardboard, and debris from production areas.
Clean walkways and maintain clear, safe pathways throughout the facility.
Organize and store extra materials and cleaning supplies.
Maintain facility cleanliness according to USDA and food safety standards.
Perform sanitation duties in refrigerated and freezer environments.
Assist production departments with various tasks as needed.
Serve as backup support for different positions within the production department.
Use cleaning equipment and supplies according to established safety procedures.
Follow proper sanitation practices to maintain a safe food processing environment.
Monitor work areas for cleanliness and report safety concerns.
Respond appropriately to equipment alarms and warehouse warning signals.
Support daily facility operations by completing assigned utility tasks.
Work cooperatively with production and warehouse team members.
Follow all company safety, sanitation, and operating procedures.
Complete additional cleaning, production support, and utility duties as assigned.
