Senior Accountant Job Details
Pay Rate: Based on Experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Location: Madison, IN
Requirement: Must live within 30 minutes of Madison, IN

Requirements of the Senior Accountant
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
* 5+ years of accounting experience required
* Manufacturing or industrial industry experience preferred
* Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
* Experience with ERP systems preferred
* Knowledge of Power BI, OneStream, or Oracle Fusion preferred
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
* Manage month-end and fiscal closing processes
* Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts and sub-ledgers
* Prepare accruals for payroll, benefits, marketing, and other expenses
* Analyze financial results and investigate budget-to-actual variances
* Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
* Identify accounting issues and communicate concerns to management
* Assist with financial reporting and account analysis
* Support process improvement and simplification initiatives
* Participate in company-wide and department-specific special projects
* Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and reporting
