Job Description
We are seeking a dependable Forklift/Production worker to assist with daily production, material handling, and warehouse operations. This position will involve operating production equipment, handling filled and empty salt containers, packaging finished product, and operating a forklift as needed.
Job Duties
- Load empty shaker jugs into the filling machine.
- Operate production equipment to fill shaker jugs with salt.
- Remove filled jugs from the machine and prepare them for packaging.
- Load filled jugs into boxes for shipment or storage.
- Handle shaker jugs weighing approximately 12 lbs. each.
- Operate a forklift to move materials, pallets, and finished products as needed.
- Load, unload, and stage materials throughout the production and warehouse areas.
- Assist with general production and warehouse duties as assigned.
- Inspect products and packaging for quality and ensure items are properly prepared.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and production guidelines.
- Work efficiently to meet daily production goals.
- Perform repetitive lifting, bending, standing, and material-handling tasks throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Previous forklift experience is preferred.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and handle materials.
- Ability to lift and repeatedly handle approximately 12 lbs.
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and production instructions.
- Must be willing to assist with both production and forklift duties as needed.
