Crown Staffing is urgently hiring for a Facility Technician.

Facility Technician Job Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, plus overtime.

Pay Rate: $18.00/hr, increasing to $20.00/hr after 90 days.

Location: Newport, KY

Facility Technician Requirements/Qualifications

Previous experience using hand and power tools required.
Must be mechanically inclined and capable of performing general facility maintenance.
Experience with drywall repair, painting, and tile repair.
Ability to perform minor plumbing repairs, including sinks and toilets.
Experience repairing doors, locks, and lighting fixtures, including ballasts and bulbs.
Valid driver's license required to operate a company vehicle for supply runs.
Previous stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, and scissor lift experience required for equipment certification.
Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and complete repairs with minimal direction.
Strong organizational, time management, and professional communication skills.
Must be willing to assist with housekeeping duties when needed.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and workplace safety requirements.

About the Facility Technician Role

As a Facility Technician, your responsibilities will include:

Inspect the facility and grounds for maintenance needs, safety concerns, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Perform general building repairs, including drywall, painting, tile, doors, locks, and minor plumbing.
Repair lighting fixtures and replace bulbs and ballasts as needed.
Perform routine maintenance and notify management of repairs requiring additional attention.
Weigh and track inks and chemicals, recording daily VOC data.
Support recycling and environmental protection activities.
Generate maintenance reports, document deficiencies, and complete corrective actions.
Clean and maintain floors, walls, equipment, and other areas inside and outside the facility.
Perform scheduled heavy cleaning, including floor shampooing, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish and scrap.
Assist with housekeeping by emptying trash in production areas, restrooms, and offices when needed.
Dispose of manufacturing waste and remove snow or debris from sidewalks.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and related materials.
Operate a company vehicle for supply runs to stores such as Lowe's and Home Depot.
Communicate with managers, supervisors, coworkers, and third parties regarding facility needs.
Follow departmental procedures, GMPs, and all company safety rules.
