Repair & Assembly Technician Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of assembly, repair, manufacturing, or production experience preferred.
- Experience with mechanical assembly, repairs, or working with small components preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Experience using hand tools and performing detailed assembly work.
- Ability to inspect components and identify quality issues.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills with experience entering information into systems such as SAP preferred.
About the Role
We are hiring a Repair & Assembly Technician to support production operations through repairing, assembling, inspecting, and managing inventory of components. This position requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision while maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Receive, record, and unbox incoming repair products and components.
- Inspect and analyze seals, parts, and assemblies to determine repair needs.
- Review assembly drawings and work instructions to complete repairs accurately.
- Disassemble seals and components for repair and evaluation.
- Perform seal lapping operations, including lapping seal faces and documenting flatness measurements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while ensuring equipment remains functional.
- Wash and blast parts after disassembly to prepare components for repair or assembly.
- Perform basic maintenance on repair area equipment and tools.
- Assemble seals and components according to specifications and quality requirements.
- Support inventory and warehouse activities including picking parts, receiving shipments, and preparing orders.
- Enter production and inventory information into SAP or related systems.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a quality-focused work environment.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
