Welder Requirements

About the Welder Role

As a Welder, your responsibilities will include:

Setting up and performing all-position welding on a variety of standard weldments and structures
Performing MIG and TIG welding according to drawings and specifications
Using Plasma cutting equipment proficiently during fabrication and welding operations
Reading and interpreting technical drawings to determine welding and fabrication requirements
Fitting and positioning weldments consisting of multiple components
Measuring materials and completing welding setups independently
Selecting and adjusting welding techniques within recognized procedures
Producing welded components according to established quality standards and testing requirements
Following applicable code certification requirements
Maintaining proper alignment and dimensions throughout the welding process
Using inspection and measuring tools to verify finished weld quality
Identifying and correcting welding or fit-up issues when necessary
Applying established welding principles and techniques to complete assigned projects
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized welding and fabrication work area
Working independently to complete assigned production requirements
Performing additional welding, fabrication, and production duties as assigned
