Robotics Automation Technician Requirements/Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English-speaking candidates preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Technical background in robotics, artificial intelligence, programming, automation, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with warehouse automation is preferred.
- Ability to understand and operate robot management and warehouse management systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving equipment issues.
- Ability to understand robot tasks, equipment status, and system operations.
- Ability to understand how sensors, cameras, scanners, and other hardware operate.
- Ability to work safely inside automated robot areas.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and equipment operating instructions.
- Scissor lift certification is preferred.
About the Robotics Automation Technician Role
As a Robotics Automation Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Monitor and maintain daily robot operations to ensure system stability and continuity.
- Work directly inside automated robot areas to identify and resolve operational exceptions.
- Troubleshoot robot derails, crashes, disconnects, breakdowns, and product obstructions.
- Identify and resolve equipment issues that can be corrected on-site.
- Perform equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance according to equipment manuals.
- Monitor automation systems and respond to routine operational exceptions.
- Record completed work and maintenance activities using the maintenance order system.
- Document hardware exceptions and provide management with clear information regarding issues.
- Identify recurring issues and take corrective action to help prevent future exceptions.
- Test equipment after repairs to verify proper operation and stability.
- Monitor robot tasks and ensure equipment status matches system information.
- Understand and troubleshoot sensors, cameras, scanners, and other robotic hardware.
- Provide operational support and answer questions related to robot operations.
- Work collaboratively with developers and other teams to resolve technical issues.
- Follow established safety procedures while working around automated equipment.
- Support the operation team in maintaining efficient and uninterrupted warehouse operations.
