Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-430pm

Pay Rate: $20-$24

Location: Independence, MO

MIG Fitter Welder Requirements/Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Fitter / MIG Welder in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
Proficient in MIG welding (GMAW); knowledge of TIG or stick welding is a plus.
Skilled in metal fitting, measuring, and assembly.
Familiarity with fabrication tools and shop safety procedures.
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

About the MIG Fitter Welder Role

As a MIG Fitter Welder, your responsibilities will include:

Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and engineering drawings.
Fit, align, and weld metal components and structures according to specifications.
Use MIG (GMAW) welding techniques to join mild steel, stainless steel, or aluminum parts.
Perform layout, measuring, cutting, grinding, and fitting tasks as required.
Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure accuracy, quality, and conformance with standards.
Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, torches, grinders, and measuring tools.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and engineers to resolve fitting or fabrication issues.
Maintain welding equipment and report maintenance needs promptly.
