Rack Repair Technician Job Details
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm
Pay Rate: $24.00
Location: Kansas City, MO
Rack Repair Technician Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in MIG welding, fabrication, or industrial maintenance preferred
- Ability to read basic drawings or rack specifications
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and manage repair priorities
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
About the Rack Repair Technician Role
As a Rack Repair Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Inspect racks for structural damage, wear, or defects
- Repair racks using welding, grinding, cutting, and mechanical fastening methods
- Replace damaged components such as bars, brackets, hooks, and supports
- Ensure racks meet safety, quality, and production standards before release
- Perform preventive maintenance on racks to extend service life
- Identify and report racks that are unsafe or beyond repair
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Follow all plant safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements
- Support production and logistics teams as needed
