Job Description
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Construction Technician who has experience in multiple areas of general construction. This is a hands-on position for someone who is a true "jack of all trades" and enjoys working with their hands.
No two days are the same. One day you may be framing walls, the next you're installing insulation, painting, running basic electrical, or helping fabricate custom container projects.
Responsibilities
- Wood and metal framing
- Installing plywood, OSB, drywall, and other sheathing materials
- Painting and finishing work
- Installing insulation
- Flooring installation (vinyl, laminate, etc.)
- Window and door installation
- Basic plumbing experience is a plus
- Read and interpret construction drawings and measurements
- Operate power tools and construction equipment safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Assist in other fabrication and construction tasks as needed
Qualifications
- 2years of general construction experience preferred
- Experience in residential, commercial, remodeling, or similar construction trades
- Strong knowledge of hand and power tools
- Ability to accurately measure and build from plans
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical work throughout the day
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality workmanship
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
- Finish carpentry
- Welding or metal fabrication
- Roofing or siding
- HVAC installation
- Plumbing
- Forklift or skid steer operation
- Shipping container modifications
- Commercial construction
