Production Associate Job Details

Schedule: Full-time
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Location: Piqua, OH

Production Associate Requirements/Qualifications

Basic math and reading skills.
Basic computer skills for data entry.
Previous warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience preferred.
Mechanically inclined with a production-oriented mindset.
Strong attention to detail and consistent work habits.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong safety and quality awareness.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to learn and operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
Overhead crane experience is a plus but not required.
Experience using precision measuring instruments is a plus but not required.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled steel manufacturing facility.
Steel-toe or composite-toe shoes required.
Safety glasses, sleeves, and gloves provided by the client.

About the Production Associate Role

As a Production Associate, your responsibilities will include:

Receive, stack, store, ship, and transfer materials and supplies.
Band material coming off production machines.
Identify and organize materials accurately.
Inspect products for quality and conformance.
Use the internal ERP system to receive and track material usage.
Operate entry-level production equipment according to standard procedures.
Process, package, and ship customer orders accurately.
Inspect products for defects and damage.
Examine outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
Receive, unload, and properly place incoming inventory.
Check, verify, and fill customer invoices.
Operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
Perform production-area cleanup and housekeeping duties.
Follow all plant safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve or optimize plant procedures.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
