Manual Machinist Job Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

Pay Rate: $24.00/hr

Location: Franklin, OH

Manual Machinist Requirements/Qualifications

Previous Manual Machinist experience required.
Experience setting up and operating manual mills and lathes.
Strong blueprint-reading and shop math skills.
Ability to work accurately within required tolerances.
Experience machining aerospace components and/or exotic materials preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Willingness to learn new processes and share knowledge with team members.
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, and kneel.
Ability to perform repetitive machining and manufacturing tasks.
Must be able to successfully complete required vision screenings.

About the Manual Machinist Role

As a Manual Machinist, your responsibilities will include:

Fabricate, modify, and repair parts, tooling, and machine components.
Set up and operate manual horizontal lathes, mills, and other machining equipment.
Determine the appropriate sequence of operations needed to complete machined products.
Perform manual machining operations including turning, reaming, boring, facing, and threading.
Build product acceptance tooling, fixtures, and gauges.
Read and interpret blueprints, job routers, drawings, and specifications.
Determine appropriate tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining methods.
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
Troubleshoot machining challenges and make adjustments to achieve required specifications.
Manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and productivity expectations.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures.
Assist with training and knowledge-sharing with other team members as needed.
