Slitter Machine Operator Job Details
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3pm to 11pm
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Location: Fairfield, OH
Slitter Machine Operator Requirements/Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Previous machining or machine operating experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing machinery experience preferred
- Experience with high-speed slitting, rewinding, converting, or web-handling equipment preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Previous Power Industrial Truck experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Ability to use or learn precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Clean background required
- 10-panel drug screen required
About the Slitter Machine Operator Role
As a Slitter Machine Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Set up, program, and operate high-speed slitting and converting machinery
- Perform machine setups, threading, and changeovers
- Adjust blade alignment, tension controls, and machine settings
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensional tolerances
- Change and maintain machine blades and tooling
- Stage and load materials onto production equipment
- Follow all lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures and workplace safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
