CNC Setup Operator Job Details
Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:00 AM
Pay Rate: $22.00–$24.00/hr + $3.00/hr shift differential
Location: Hamilton, OH

CNC Setup Operator Requirements/Qualifications
- Resume and interview required.
- CNC setup experience required.
- Connector PPW required.
- Connector background check required.
- Technical college or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of CNC setup, operation, and programming experience preferred.
- Experience with CNC lathes and mills.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and product specifications.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers.
- Strong math, reading, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects, including assisting with up to 35 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
About the CNC Setup Operator Role
As a CNC Setup Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills safely and efficiently.
- Call up CNC programs and set up tooling for production.
- Edit CNC programs as needed.
- Measure parts and make tooling corrections during production.
- Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Ensure the correct cutting inserts are used for each material.
- Produce high-quality, high-volume parts while working to reduce cycle time.
- Clean, count, deburr, and properly handle finished parts.
- Maintain tooling and inserts and document inventory.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and maintain a clean work area.
- Support quality management procedures and production standards.
- Instruct and assist less-skilled employees with CNC operation and setup.
- Follow all production, safety, and quality procedures.
