Wiring Technician Job Details

Schedule: Shift to be discussed during interview
Pay Rate: $17.00-$21.00/hour (Depending on Experience)
Location: Fairfield, OH

Wiring Technician Requirements/Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Technical training in electrical technology preferred
Previous experience in control panel wiring, machine building, or electrical assembly preferred
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical shop duties
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to read and speak English
Background check required (no violent or sexual offenses)
Drug screen required
Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic required

About the Wiring Technician Role

As a Wiring Technician, your responsibilities will include:

Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
Assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels and machine interfaces
Install and terminate electrical components such as relays, PLC I/O modules, sensors, drives, and HMIs
Route, label, and secure wiring in an organized and professional manner
Perform point-to-point wiring and verify electrical connections
Test completed assemblies to ensure proper functionality
Troubleshoot and correct wiring issues during build and startup
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet deadlines
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Follow all company safety and quality standards
Assist with packaging, cleaning, light maintenance, and general shop duties as needed
