Job Description
Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN)
Greenwood, IN
Pay: $55.00/hour
Position Type: Full-Time
Acute Care RN Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Nursing Diploma program
- Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current CPR/BCLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- CRRN certification preferred
- Minimum of six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to assess patient needs and make sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to safely assist, lift, and move patients as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
- Deliver direct and indirect patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate high-quality patient care
- Educate patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process and discharge planning
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes promptly to physicians and nursing leadership
- Complete timely and accurate electronic medical record documentation
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning, team conferences, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, hospital policies, and patient safety standards
- Promote a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients, visitors, and staff
- Support patient rehabilitation goals while providing compassionate, evidence-based nursing care
- Perform additional duties as assigned
