Job Description
Registered Nurse – Acute Rehabilitation
Greenwood, IN
Pay: $50.00/hour
Travel Assignment | 13 Weeks
Schedule Information
- 12-hour shifts
- Day and night shifts available
- Weekend and holiday rotation as needed
Registered Nurse Requirements
- Current Indiana RN license required
- Minimum of 1–2 years of acute care or inpatient rehabilitation nursing experience preferred
- Previous inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) experience highly preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Strong patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical documentation skills
- Experience with IV pumps, patient lifts, mobility equipment, medication administration systems, and EHR platforms
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment while maintaining professionalism and compassionate patient care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, and other disabling conditions
- Complete patient assessments and monitor changes in patient condition throughout the shift
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders
- Assist patients with mobility, rehabilitation goals, and activities of daily living
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support recovery and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, rehabilitation goals, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards throughout the rehabilitation process
