Pay Rate: $45.67/hr (Based on Experience)
Location: Covington, KY

Technical Sales Support Specialist Requirements/Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combined experience with an emphasis on technical selling.
Technical knowledge of packaging equipment or a related industry preferred.
Blueprint reading skills required.
Strong customer service, leadership, and sales support skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and presentation skills.
Effective written communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, and PowerPoint.
Experience using CRM tools such as Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
Understanding of commercial terms and ability to negotiate and resolve customer issues.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

About the Technical Sales Support Specialist Role

As a Technical Sales Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

Provide technical expertise and support to Area Sales Managers and customers for new equipment.
Identify project risks and assist with project screening.
Configure machines for quotation based on customer requirements.
Assist Area Sales Managers with machine capabilities and preliminary pricing.
Work with Engineering to determine concepts and cost estimates for custom machine content.
Prepare cost and pricing worksheets and coordinate estimates with Engineering and Manufacturing.
Review customer specifications and coordinate appropriate internal reviews.
Prepare and submit proposal approval forms as needed.
Prepare budget and firm proposals.
Maintain current information for assigned opportunities in the CRM system.
Maintain cost worksheet and proposal templates for assigned machine lines.
Prepare order documentation when purchase orders are received.
Conduct order meetings and transition projects to Project Management.
Prepare order acknowledgment letters for received orders.
Help improve proposal response times and project handoff timelines.
Travel to customer locations in support of sales as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
