Delivery Driver Job Details
Tuesday – Saturday | 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM | $23.00/Hour
- OFF Sunday & Monday
- End times may be later on busy delivery days.
- No CDL Required
Delivery Driver Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License required
- No CDL required
- Experience driving a 20-foot delivery truck preferred
- Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and unload furniture
- Ability to assist with furniture assembly and setup inside customers’ homes
- Ability to safely perform physical work, including lifting and moving furniture
- Comfortable working with a delivery helper as a two-person team
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional attitude and appearance required
- Ability to work Tuesday through Saturday
- Flexibility to work later than 6:00 PM on busy delivery days
- Strong attention to safety when loading, securing, transporting, and delivering merchandise
- Dependable attendance and punctuality required
About the Furniture Delivery Driver Role
As a Furniture Delivery Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Driving a 20-foot delivery truck to customers’ homes
- Loading furniture safely onto the delivery truck
- Working with a helper to properly load and organize furniture for daily deliveries
- Securing furniture and merchandise to prevent movement or damage during transportation
- Safely transporting furniture to residential customer locations
- Unloading furniture at each delivery location
- Carrying and positioning furniture inside customers’ homes
- Assembling furniture on-site according to product requirements
- Setting up completed furniture in the customer’s requested location
- Working closely with a delivery helper throughout loading, transportation, delivery, and setup
- Inspecting furniture and merchandise for potential damage during the delivery process
- Maintaining a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with customers
- Following safe driving, loading, lifting, and delivery practices
- Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the delivery truck
- Completing scheduled deliveries efficiently while providing excellent customer service
- Performing additional delivery and furniture setup duties as assigned
