Pick/Pack and Receiving Forklift Operator
Whitestown, IN
Pay: $21.00/hour
Pay: $21.00/hour
Schedule Information
- Monday–Friday
- 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- Limited overtime, including weekends, may be required
Forklift Operator Requirements
- Reach-truck and cherry-picker experience required
- High school diploma or GED
- Two to four years of related warehouse or distribution experience
- Experience with picking, packing, receiving, stocking, and shipping
- Experience using RF scanners or RF warehouse technology
- Strong inventory and order-accuracy skills
- Ability to read shipping documents and verify bills of lading
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety requirements
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work limited overtime
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced distribution environment
Key Responsibilities
- Operate reach trucks and cherry pickers safely and efficiently.
- Pick, pack, and ship customer orders according to established procedures.
- Receive and stock inbound products.
- Record product quantities, shortages, discrepancies, and damages accurately.
- Process inbound and outbound orders using RF technology.
- Verify correct part numbers and quantities.
- Load and unload trailers and inspect products for transit damage.
- Verify bills of lading and other receiving or shipping documents.
- Complete re-warehousing moves and inventory cycle counts.
- Stock supplies in their assigned locations.
- Process hazardous materials and other regulated products according to applicable requirements.
- Report equipment damage and operational concerns to the Warehouse Lead Associate.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse areas.
- Assist with training new employees when needed.
- Cross-train in receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping operations.
- Follow all safety rules, quality standards, and standard operating procedures.
