Job Description
Requirements of the Machine Operator:
– HS diploma or higher is preferred/ Not required
-Previous experience with lean manufacturing (assembly line) and 5S is preferred
-Ability to read tape measures, micrometers, information provided from computer systems
-Forklift or mobile equipment is a plus; onsite job training is provided if needed
-Ability to work 8 or 12 hour shifts, including nights and weekends
-Perform tasks that require extensive and rigorous walking, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling, gripping, stair and ladder climbing, entering confined spaces, navigating rough terrain and occasional lifting up to 75 pounds
– Background: No felony convictions
Responsibilities of the Production Operator:
– Assisting in activities throughout the manufacturing plant
-Making equipment and process adjustments to ensure proper specifications for finished products
-Perform quality checks and recording results in production and quality database
-Performing routine cleaning, inspecting, and minor operator maintenance on equipment
-Operating forklift/equipment
