Vehicle Maintenance Technician Job Details
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.53–$22.50/hr (Based on Experience)

Vehicle Maintenance Technician Requirements/Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience completing oil changes and performing basic automotive maintenance required.
- Experience with a tire machine required.
- Automotive dealership, tire shop, auto body, fleet, or similar automotive experience preferred.
- Vocational or technical training in automotive mechanics is a plus.
- ASE certifications or dealer equivalents preferred.
- Ability to use mechanic hand tools, air tools, saws, presses, and other automotive/shop equipment.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to operate mobile lifting equipment safely.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Regular and predictable attendance required.
About the Vehicle Maintenance Technician Role
As a Vehicle Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil and filter changes, tire rotations, mounting and balancing, battery checks, fluid checks, belts, hoses, and wiper replacement.
- Operate a tire machine and perform tire mounting, balancing, repair, and replacement.
- Inspect, repair, and replace brakes, rotors, drums, shocks, struts, wheel bearings, CV joints, exhaust components, and other vehicle parts.
- Perform undercarriage and suspension inspections and repairs.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues using computer diagnostic equipment.
- Perform check-engine diagnostics and assist with programming onboard computer systems.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on trailers, small engines, and heavy equipment.
- Provide roadside assistance when needed.
- Assist with shop equipment maintenance and upkeep.
- Maintain accurate records and enter completed repairs and maintenance into work orders.
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with ordering and receiving repair parts.
- Operate mobile lifting equipment safely.
- Assist other divisions with vehicle and equipment-related tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures.
