Maintenance Technician Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of related maintenance experience required
- HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting experience required
- Valid driver’s license required
- General knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical repair, and mechanical maintenance preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery, motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, and air conditioning systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow OSHA and workplace safety procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks
About the Maintenance Technician Role
Crown Staffing is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians for a facility in Louisville, KY. This role is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on facility systems and equipment while ensuring safe and efficient operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong HVAC experience along with general maintenance knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and building maintenance tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform maintenance service and repairs in areas including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical work, and machine servicing
- Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment and mechanical systems
- Replace filters, light bulbs, locks, and other building components as needed
- Clean and lubricate equipment parts to maintain proper operation
- Identify and report unsafe working conditions
- Follow all OSHA, company safety, and risk management procedures
- Participate in safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments
- Assist with snow removal, groundskeeping, and special events as needed
- Assist skilled trades workers with maintenance and repair projects
- Examine mechanical equipment to diagnose issues and replace defective components
- Inspect completed repairs to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Assist with inventory of maintenance supplies, parts, and equipment
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and repair records
- Support training and coordination of lower-level maintenance employees when needed
