Food Service Worker
Indianapolis, IN
Pay: $16.00/hour
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule Information
- Monday – Friday
- 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Food Service Worker Requirements
- Previous food service, cafeteria, or customer service experience preferred
- Food Handler certification or equivalent certification preferred (if required)
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with food safety standards
- Provide friendly customer service at food stations, including salad, pizza, and serving lines
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining areas
- Operate cash registers and accurately process customer transactions
- Complete daily reports and maintain accurate records as required
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Restock food, beverages, and supplies throughout the shift
- Support kitchen staff and assist with additional duties as assigned
