Plumber/Pipefitter Requirements
- Valid Master or Journeyman Plumber’s License
- Valid driver’s license
- At least three years of licensed plumbing experience
- Commercial service, repair, remodeling, or piping experience
- Boiler, pump, and building mechanical-system experience preferred
- Ability to read plans, drawings, and installation instructions
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
- Availability for overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight travel
- Steel-toed boots required
- Must meet pre-employment screening requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Install, retrofit, troubleshoot, and repair piping, valves, fittings, and plumbing fixtures
- Work with heating, cooling, water, drainage, and mechanical systems
- Review plans and determine installation requirements
- Measure, cut, thread, fit, and join metal and nonmetal piping
- Test systems for leaks using water, air, and pressure gauges
- Install and repair fixtures, water heaters, appliances, and water-softening systems
- Repair leaks, burst pipes, clogged drains, and related plumbing issues
- Communicate professionally with customers and project teams
Work Environment
- Work outdoors and in mechanical or equipment rooms
- Regular climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching
- Exposure to weather, heights, wet conditions, fumes, vibration, and loud noise
- Work around mechanical equipment, electrical hazards, chemicals, and temperature extremes
