Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Somerset, KY
Pay: $17.83–$18.96/hour
Full-Time | 2nd & 3rd Shift Available
Schedule Information
- 2nd Shift Available
- 3rd Shift Available
- Every 3rd weekend off
- Overtime opportunities available
- Temp-to-Hire
Direct Support Professional Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license required
- Reliable transportation and proof of current auto insurance required
- Ability to meet criminal background and drug screening requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
- Provide around-the-clock care and supervision for individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including hygiene, home management, leisure activities, and independent living skills
- Support residents with mobility and transfers as needed
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and rights of all individuals served
- Follow all federal and state regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation during each shift
- Promote a positive, supportive, and respectful environment
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to provide quality care
