Job Description
Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Telemetry
Cleveland, OH
Pay: $70.00/hour
Travel Assignment | 13 Weeks
Schedule Information
- 12-hour shifts
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Traveler must be available to work at least every other holiday
Registered Nurse Requirements
- Current Ohio RN license or qualifying Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license required
- Minimum of 18 months of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent RN experience in Med Surg/Telemetry required (may be combined across facilities)
- Previous travel nursing experience accepted toward recent experience requirement
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
- Current AHA or American Red Cross ACLS certification required
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Strong patient assessment, medication administration, telemetry monitoring, and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment while maintaining professionalism and quality patient care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med Surg and Telemetry patients
- Perform patient assessments, monitor telemetry rhythms, and communicate changes promptly to the healthcare team
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments accurately and safely
- Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Follow all facility policies, patient safety standards, and infection prevention protocols
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality care while supporting positive patient outcomes
