Warehouse Lead Job Details

Schedule: Full-time; schedule to be discussed during the interview process
Pay Rate: $20.00–$23.00/hr
Location: Groveport, OH

Warehouse Lead Requirements/Qualifications

Previous warehouse and forklift experience required.
Ability to operate a stand-up forklift.
Must maintain certification on all forklifts used in the warehouse.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, and division.
Ability to accurately measure and pull customer orders.
Ability to communicate effectively using a two-way radio.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, twist, turn, squat, stoop, stretch, and reach overhead.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including wrapping machines.
Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Ability to hear forklift horns and backup alarms.

About the Warehouse Lead Role

As a Warehouse Lead, your responsibilities will include:

Operate forklifts to pull, stack, and organize pallets of merchandise.
Direct daily priorities established by warehouse management to help meet department production goals.
Communicate daily goals and quality expectations to employees.
Report department issues and production progress to management.
Train new employees on shipping and order-pulling procedures.
Ensure employees follow safe warehouse and material-handling procedures.
Accurately pull customer orders using a stand-up forklift and pick sheets.
Record changes or missing products on pick sheets.
Build pallets and prepare shipments according to company procedures and customer specifications.
Communicate missing products or out-of-stock items to the Receiving Clerk or management.
Complete daily forklift preventative maintenance inspections.
Report forklift mechanical or safety concerns to management.
Lead by example through respect, cooperation, teamwork, and professionalism.
