Weed Wacker Associate Requirements
- Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, or lawn-care experience preferred
- Experience safely operating a weed eater required
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work throughout the shift
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a grounds-maintenance team
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper equipment use
Key Responsibilities
- Follow mowing crews and trim areas that cannot be reached by tractors or larger equipment.
- Operate a weed eater safely and efficiently.
- Trim grass and vegetation around sidewalks, fences, signs, trees, buildings, and other obstacles.
- Maintain the appearance of landscaped areas throughout the property.
- Inspect completed work to ensure a clean and professional appearance.
- Follow all landscaping, equipment, and workplace-safety procedures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment.
- Keep landscaping equipment clean and in safe working condition.
- Report damaged equipment and maintenance concerns promptly.
- Maintain clean and organized work and storage areas.
- Assist with additional landscaping and grounds-maintenance assignments as needed.
