RN – Med/Surg
Lexington, KY
Pay: $29.00/hour
Position Type: 6-Month Contract | Day Shift
Schedule Information
- 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 12-hour day shifts
- 6-month contract assignment
Med/Surg RN Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience required
- Specialty-specific nursing experience required
- Strong knowledge of patient assessment, medication administration, and care planning
- Ability to provide safe, patient-centered care in a hospital environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with healthcare teams
- Ability to accurately document patient care using electronic medical records
- Ability to respond appropriately to changes in patient condition

- Patient monitoring equipment
- Mobility aids
- Electronic health records (EHR)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical-surgical nursing care to patients with a variety of conditions
- Perform patient assessments and identify patient care needs
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to appropriate healthcare providers
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery needs
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic medical records
- Assist with patient repositioning, transfers, and mobility needs
- Maintain a safe and supportive patient care environment
- Perform additional nursing duties as assigned
